Baseball is back!!! LFG!!!
It’s only 60 games but, hey, I’ll take what I can get. I cannot wait to hear the crack of the bat, and the roar of the…dugout…through mask…but still! Baseball!
60 games is less than 1/3 of a regular season. There will not be any over 100 win teams. No much anticipated All Star Game in Los Angeles where the home team would get to show off their newly renovated stadium. No dinger filled home run derby. But nonetheless, we are getting baseball in 2020!
This news might be the thing that saves my sanity this year.
We get to watch the boys do what they do best from the comfort of our own homes. Which means I won’t be spending money going to games every homestand because of FOMO. Can you blame me for having fomo? The Boys in Blue had 12, count ’em, 12 walk-offs in 2019.
I can’t wait to see all 30 teams battle this sprint of a season. Starting July 23rd and ending September 27th, tentatively, the season will be starting about 4 months late. The best things in life are worth waiting for, especially since I gave up hope on the 2020 season months ago.
As long as MLB can get a hold of the Covid-19 cases within the ball clubs, we will have baseball in 2020. Dodger fans will get the chance to see Mookie in Dodger blue during some regular season games and cheer on the rest of the boys on their journey to a World Series Championship.
Dear 8 pound 6 ounce newborn born infant Jesus, please let us have baseball this year.
