Eyes on the horizon: 2021 MLB schedule

So you’re telling me that the 60 game 2020 regular season didn’t even start when we were already graced by the baseball gods with the 2021 season schedule? Rad.

I’m not going to lie, I was bummed as hell when I came to the realization that I wasn’t going to cross off more stadium visits this season. But the release of the full 2021 schedule has me looking at it like Sylvester looks at Tweety.

Being a Dodger fan, of course I want to see my team play in as many stadiums as I possibly can. So the top three away series I’m looking forward to next year are pretty fuego if I do say so.

1. A S T R O S: duh. LA plays Houston 4 times in 2021. First the Dodgers travel to Houston May 25-26. If you know anything about Dodger fans, you know they travel well. Plus if you give them the opportunity to petty boo the Astros…the dome is going to get loud. I hope the juice is worth the squeeze in Minute Maid park. With the ‘stros coming to town on August 3rd and 4th, you know Dodger fans will take up every opportunity to show them whose house they’re visiting. Hoping for some nice swings and playful banter during both series.

2. Braves: I’m going to cut straight to the chase, my birthday weekend this past June was supposed to be celebrated in Hotlanta watching the Dodgers play the Braves. I plan on making this up in 2021… even if its the weekend before. *shrugs* Birthday month will be in full force since I didn’t get to celebrate this year.

3. Rangers: besides being in a brand new stadium, I don’t really have a reason to want to go to this series. But I’m hyped to catch a game in Globe Life Field, even if people of the internet think its ugly. Ugly needs love too. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Here we are, on 8/24/20, the Dodgers have played 30/60 games this season and are 1st in the NL, with the best record in baseball at 22-8. Hope they keep this magic going, this team is something else. I can’t wait until we get to travel again to watch this magic in person and cheer on the boys in blue on the road.
